CLIRT is a charitable organization incorporated under the laws of the United Kingdom (UK), in 2008, as a guarantee company. CLIRT is authorized to carry on various activities including raising funds and awarding educational grants to the needy in deprived areas in Ghana and the West African sub-region, providing advice and support in the areas of poverty reduction, famine elimination, youth leadership development and empowerment, capacity building, education and cultural exchange. Developing the skills and talents of the youth, as well as providing a platform for knowledge sharing by retired professionals remain our prime focus. CLIRT has over the years been involved in giving hands-on training to various groups including school children in Stoke-on-Trent, UK; African migrants abroad and foreign residents in Ghana. Our exchange programme allows young persons and retired professionals from different countries to learn from one another.
CLIRT has been an innovative leader in the field of leadership development, capacity building and training, working together with local churches to build communities that invest in youth. Through our years of youth leadership development, we consistently see people’s deep motivation to challenge and improve the society in which they live. Clirt fosters this passion by providing ways for people to channel their expertise and knowledge into effective community change.
